THE GRADUATE is a classic. It is one of those iconic films that have seared into pop culture to make it immortal. THE GRADUATE
is a expertly directed film with great cinematography, acting, and humor.
Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) is a confused college graduate who gets involved with Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), the
wife of one of his Dad's business partner. Mrs. Robinson is cruel and yet unhappy. She is using Ben. She does everything
to sabotage Ben's relationship with her daughter (who he falls for). If you haven't sTHE GRADUATE, you should see it for
it is one of the classics. It helped inspire many directors and writers in Hollywood. It took off and cemented itself into
pop culture. It is immortal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: Two audio commentaries were recorded for the film.
4 featurettes are included on this DVD. The first two were originally made for the 25th anniversary of THE GRADUATE. THE
GRADUATE AT 25 and ONE ONE WITH DUSTIN HOFFMAN are the best featurettes of the disc. STUDENTS OF THE GRADUATE and THE SEDUCTION
has directors and critics analyze the film. Rounding out the extras are two trailers for the film (including the original
theatrical trailer). Also included in the CE is a Bonus Sountrack CD with 4 songs from THE GRADUATE's soundtrack.
FINAL ANALYSIS: THE GRADUATE is still a treat after 40 years with a nice transfer and a few extras.
