RAZOR BLADE SMILE is a contradiction like vampires. It is a low budget indie action horror film shot for twenty thousand pounds in the UK

Sometimes you get the best movies out of the low budget movie field and RAZOR BLADE SMILE is one of those gems. It is a fresh and energetic take on vampires that turns the usual vampire lore on its head. RAZOR BLADE SMILE is about Lilith Silver, a female vampire, who is a hit woman that is going after members in a crime sect.
Director Jake West weaves an impressive movie with great visuals and an interesting story. I would like to see another feature film directed by Jake West. Lilith is a compelling character that you just want to love. I like it how the Hollywood things about vampires are bull and Lilith points them out during the movie. Lilith is a great character. She is a vampire who has to find her own fun since she lives forever. Her friends don't believe what Lilith says about vampires (because they like how vampires are presented in movies more). It is neat to see a movie that says all you know about vampires is all wrong (except for the blood sucking part). The movie has a neat twist ending.

FINAL ANALYSIS: RAZOR BLADE SMILE is a unique low budget vampire movie I love drediscovering after all of these years. The 4K transfer brings out what the director couldn't do when he originally made the movie. The Severin release has hours of extras. I do wish the comic book of Lilith Silver gets finished and collected. I kinda wish this movie had a sequel.
