DR. WHO & THE DALEKS is a color DOCTOR WHO film I didn't see for the longest time. I might have seen parts of it, but I was more of a fan of the original series over the movies that I just didn't even bother to watch the two Dalek movies in color. I finally did watch them on DVD and TCM before I gave both of them a watch including DR. WHO & THE DALEKS when Kino Lorber released them on blu-ray years ago. Studio Canal then did some nice box sets and steelbooks of both films based on new 4K restorations. Now Severin Films have the North American rights to both films with the North American debut of those two Daleks films on 4K UHD blu-ray.

The movie manages to cut away the padding from the TV story and a bigger budget than the TV show helps too along with seeing this story in color. I mean there are things that are changed from the TV story like making Susan younger and the Doctor as human along with Barbara being his niece. The Daleks are more colorful and I do like the look of the Daleks in the movie tooo.

FINAL ANALYSIS: DR. WHO AND THE DALEKS is the best the movie has ever looked. It is a must own for fans of the movie and the TV show. The extras are also great too.
