4K Blu-ray Review: DRAGONSLAYER steelbook

DRAGONSLAYER is one of those underrated fantasy movies from the 1980s that flew under the radar. I really haven't seen the whole movie until now. For the longest time, I would catch the last half to last thirty minutes on cable TV. The movie follows a magician's apprentice (Galen) who goes on a quest to slay an old dragon after the apparent death of his mentor. Ulrich was the villager's last hope until Galen steps up. A country is held hostage by a dragon that leaves them alone as long as one female virgin is sacrificed to it once a year. The king and his men doesn't want Galen to rock the boat, but Galen's efforts to destroy this old dragon causes more trouble as he falls for a woman who disguised herself as a boy to prevent being selected for the lottery that determines the girl who will be the dragon's next victim.

FINAL ANALYSIS: DRAGONSLAYER is an underrated cult classic that has great extras with an awesome steelbook design. Must own for fans of this movie.
