THE INVITATION is an interesting take on the vampire tale with clues all in front of you hiding in plain sight. However, the movie would have been better if they left the final scene on the cutting room floor because it feels like it was a test audience mandated change. THE INVITATION would have been better if it ended on the second to last scene. It isn't a perfect movie, but I do like how it starts as one thing and warns you what is coming before it hits you what type of movie that THE INVITATION is.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
The blu-ray includes an all new unrated cut in addition to the PG-13 theatrical cut.

Deleted and extended scenes amount to a deleted scene cut for pacing, an extended scene that should have been left in and an alternate ending that was rightfully cut.

THE DEATH DO US PART- production design of the movie

The outtakes and bloopers features laughing, line flubs, and some dancing.

FINAL ANALYSIS: THE INVITATION is an interesting take on the vampire story which is able to blend genres. It would have been better if they cut the last scene and it would have ended stronger. The extras aren't bad, but it would have been nice to have an audio commentary.
