BEST MULTI-DISC DVD:
1. PANIC ROOM Special Edition- Basically the DVD is a like a Film School on DVD.
2. HELLBOY Special Edition/HELLBOY Director's Cut- Both releases- the two disc SE and the three disc DC- have impressive
amounts of special featureas and each cut of the movie had an impressive transfer on DVD. The DC is the better version of
the movie.
3. LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING Extended Edition- A wealth of extras, but shame on Jackson for not having a separate
area for deleted scenes not in the theater cut or extended version.
4. UNDERWORLD Unrated Extended Cut- One of the best transfers of 2004 with even more extras and a longer cut (with new
scenes and re-edited scenes) to provide a better movie than before.
BEST TV ON DVD:
1. TRU CALLING: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON- Lots of extras and a Play All option.
2. MILLENNIUM: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON- It's about time FOX put this one out on DVD. The menus are fantastic.
3. KEEN EDDIE- Paramount stuck to their guns and released the show to DVD.
DISAPPOINMENTS ON DVD:
1. STAR WARS TRILOGY- No delted scenes on disc 4 and George Lucas didn't even include the original versions many grew up
with.
2. THE PUNISHER- They mention a 30 to 40 minute subplot cut out of the movie in the featurettes with a brief glimpse of
one of the scenes from that plot. Why couldn't they have included some scenes from that cut part of the movie in the deleted
scenes section?!
