Dexter still reels from killing his serial killer brother. dexter needs to get his serial killer mojo. His girlfriend Rita thinks Dexter is a drug user and Dexter ends up going to meetings where his sponsor ends up being the beautiful and yet troublesome Lila. Meanwhile, Dexter's sister Debra tries to recover from nearly being killed by the Ice Truck Killer (Dexter's brother). Also Dexter's dump site is found and FBI Special Agent Lundy is brought in to head the investigation. Dexter must juggle not being discovered by his fellow co-workers in the Miami-Dade Police Department and the FBI while shaking off Detective Doakes who is obsessed with discovering Dexter's secrets.

DEXTER Season 2 is as great as season 1. You get in the head of a serial killer bound by a moral code taught to him by his adopted father, Harry. The show is addictive and sometimes funny. I didn't want Dexter to be caught and I wondered what he would do to prevent discovery. He has doubts as he wrestles with his conscience. Dexter sometimes gets things wrong as he tries to keep the cops and Agent Lundy off his trail. In the end, he finds out more about who he is and why Harry adopted him. I can't wait to see where DEXTER goes in the third season.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
I'm disappointed with the extras. A lame photo gallery and cast bios are on disc 4 in addition to two season season episodes for BROTHERHOOD (You can find the first episode of DEXTER Season 3 on the BROTHERHOOD season 2 DVD set on October 7). Then the most annoying extra is included on the fourth disc- extras you have to access via the web like the Michael C. Hall podcast and an interview with him. You have to use Showtime's E-Bridge technology when you insert the disc in a DVD-ROM drive and connect to the internet. You also can access two Season Two episodes of THE TUDORS and CLIFORNICATION Season 1 this way.

FINAL ANALYSIS: DEXTER Season Two is thrilling and sometimes funny. dexter is the type of serial killer you root for not to get caught as he follows his own moral code to dispose of other bad guys. I hope Showtime and CBS DVD improve the extras for the season 3 set.
