24 Season six starts with a bang. The rist four hours (6:00 AM to 10:00 AM) featured Jack Bauer being exchanged back to the
USA (in a swap with China) and a nuclear bomb going off in Los Angeles. Then you see the usual character drama as characters
wind up in trouble, Jack finds someone everyone thinks is dead, his Dad messed up in the plot of stolen nuclear bombs (extreme
Russians and Middle East terrorists being the prime villains), and the usual 24 character deaths. Like any season 24 is
a thrill ride. It has it's highs and lows and places where teh stoiryline drags a little.
SPECIAL FEATURES: 12 episode audio commentaries were recorded for the set (with various members of cast and crew). On the
first six discs, viewers can branch out to deleted and alternate scenes while watching the episodes. You can view all of
the deleted and extended scnes together on disc 7. I just wish they had standalone viewing option for the scenes on each
disc. The 24 mobisodes (brief 2 minute episodes originally available to Sprint cell phone users) follow up on events of
season six and makes wonder if it is also a cleverly planned prequel for season 7. I do wish Fox would have made a trailer
for season 7 actually featuring scenes from season 7 (which has been halted due to the writer's strike with a premiere date
TBA after the strike is settled).
FINAL ANALYSIS: 24 season six is a high quality DVD set like the other sets. It is debateable whether this season is great
or jumped the shark.
