Alternate realities, whether it is an alternate future or parallel universe,
have produced some of the best written episodes in any STAR TREK series. The Mirror, Mirror universe has proved some good
fodder for three different STAR TREK series. My personal favorite of this set is YESTERDAY'S ENTERPRISE which shows what
if Enterprise 1701-C didn't get destroyed their battle against the Romulans to save a Klingon outpost. Don't forget evil
alternate universe Kira is her clinky outfit. The alternate reality episodes show the writers taking chances hey should have
done more with teh regular episodes.
MIRROR UNIVERSE: Breaded Spock- Nuff' said.
MIRROR, MIRROR (STAR TREK)
CROSSOVER (STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE)/ THROUGH THE LOOK GLASS (DS9)/ SHATTERED MIRROR (DS9)- Evil kira in slinky outfit and
see what happened to the mirror Universe since the original Trek episode.
IN A MIRROR DARKLY Part 1 and 2 (ENTERPRISE)- prequel to MIRROR, MIRROR and learn what happened to the disappeared Federation
ship from the original STAR TREK episode, THE THOLIAN WEB.
PARALELL DIMENSIONS:
THE ALTERNATIVE FACTOR (STAR TREK)- Kirk svae the universe from matter and anti-matter versions of one guy.
PARALLELS (STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION)- Worf sees the lives of other Worfs in parallel universes as he tries to get back
to his Enterprise.
TWISTED REALITIES:
THE ENEMY WITHIN/ TURNABOUT INTRUDER (STAR TREK)- one has good and evil sides of Kirk while the other marks the final episode
of the series where Kirk ends up in a woman's body and teh woman in his.
FRAME OF MIND (TNG)- one of the best Riker episodes
SHATTERED (STAR TREK: VOYAGER)- Each deck of Voyager is spilt in different time periods.
ALTERNATE LIVES:
YESTERDAY'S ENTERPRISE (TNG)- one of my favorite alternate reality TNG episodes ever
THE INNER LIGHT (TNG)- Picrad experiences the life of a guy from a long-dead race.
THE VISITOR (DS9)
BEFORE AND AFTER (VOYAGER)- Kes witnesses her life backwards as she has become unstuck in time.
TIMELESS(VOYAGER)- one of those alternate future episodes.
COURSE: OBLIVION (VOYAGER)
E2/ TWILIGHT (ENTERPRISE)- TWILIGHT (another alternate future episode) is neat to see T'Pol with long hair
