THE MARINE is the worst film to come out of 2006. It features incredibly bad acting from WWE wrestler John Cena as
an Ex-Marine out to rescue his wife from psychotic jewel theives led by Robert Patrick (who must have did for the paycheck
sicne the script is utter crap), a stupid script, bad CGI, and action scenes driven by no plot or character logic at
all. The dialogue from teh black guy made me wanted to gag. If you want a good action film, skip this turd
and watch an old Arnold Swarzenegger film instead. If WWE wants to make films, they need better scripts and have a
better CGI budget if they're going to use CGI. Also John Cena needs better films for him to be in if he's going
to be the next action star.
The DVD contains PG-13 and Unrated versions fo the film. I couldn't tell the difference between the two (I gave
up after the unrated and only looked as bits of the PG-13 version), but maybe there is extra violence in the Unrated cut.
The featurettes are basic promo fluff from TEH MAKING OF THE MARINE, four John Cena featurettes, a Camp Pendleton premiere
featurette, and 10 really stupid WWE Promotional featurettes like how John cena fans loved THE MARINE and who is tougher (John
Cena or The Marine).
So like I said above, THE MARINE is a waste of money. They shouldn't have made this turd without a better script.
Even the extras are poor on the DVD. Skip it.
