LAKE PLACID 2 is fun for a direct to DVD sequel. IT has gore, nudity, monsters, and sometimes doesn't take itself too seriously.
tHe film picks up years after teh first LAKE PLACID where a small town Maine Sheriff (John Schiender) has to face three
ginat crocs who are dining on the locals who venture into and near the lake. Throw in cliche elements like the teen son that
has problems with girls and his Sheriff daddy, tough young local guys, the local hot chick with her dog, the Sheriff's ex-flame,
a crazy old lady who feeds the crocs, and a game hunter with his black lackey. So don't pay too much attention to the script
and enjoy the blood, acting, hot chicks, and cheer as the crocs take out the annoying characters (and some chicks).
SPECIAL FEATURES: The two featurettes are fluffly. SEX, GUNS, AND CROC N'ROLL is a light fluffy look at behind-the-scenes
of making the film. skip it. SURVIVING A CROCODILE ATTACK gives tips with clips from the film to illustarte it. The most
fun extra is the Gnawed Up version of LAKE PLACID 2 which gives you the chance to see the entire film in nine minutes.
FINAL ANALYSIS: LAKE PLACID 2 offers plenty of B movie direct to DVD pleasure.
