GRIDLOCK turns the promise ending of last season's opener, NEW EARTH, on it's head. The Doctor gets his final message from
Boa and faces an old enemy. It is an entertaining episode, but the story feels recycled.
The next two episodes are the return of the Daleks again. DALEKS IN MANHATTAN and THE DALEK EVOLUTION feel tired. I hope
Russell T. Davies DOES NOT have a Dalek story for season 4. It's time to give them a rest for a while and not make them appear
just more foolish with each new Dalek story. A promising twist is wasted in THE DALEK EVOLUTION while the ending leaves us
hanging for a sequel. I hope it isn't too soon. The info on the 1930's New Yowk City is neat. I just hope the next few episodes
kick this season into high gear.
Character writing and dialogue is sharp, but I found the scripts lacking. Fingers crossed that RTD has something great
planned or I will be hoping for another showrunner to take over the new Who soon.
