The fourth season (aka season 10) of Jon Pertwee's run as the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee). It brought change as the Doctor first got help from his two previous incarnations to battle the one of the first Time Lords, Omega. Then the Doctor took to the stars again with his companion Jo Grant (Katy Manning) as they try to stop a space war and the Daleks. One of my favorite stories of the Third Doctor is FRONTIER IN SPACE which is basically setting up for PLANET OF THE DALEKS, but it has a wonderful mix of space opera and political intrigue in addition to the final appearance by the original Master (Roger Delgado).

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Many of the old DVD special features are included on the blu-ray discs with the various stories. I am mainly focusing on the new special features included in this blu-ray set.

LOOKING FOR LENNIE (DISC 1)- this documentary follows Toby Haddoke as he interviews the people and family that knew the director of many DOCTOR WHO stories including THE THREE DOCTORS. Make sure to check out the seven minutes of deleted scenes.
KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES (DISC 5)- Katy Manning and Stewart Bevan return to Wales (in Bessie) to visit the locations used in THE GREEN DEATH and talk with the locals who were involved in the production
DOCTOR WHO AND THE THIRD MAN (DISC 6)- a feature length documentary with cast and crew interviews (and comments from Steven Moffatt and Mark Gattis) as it looks back at the Pertwee era of DOCTOR WHO

Bonus episodes of THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES featuring the return of Katy Manning as Jo Grant for THE DEATH OF THE DOCTOR Part 1 and 2

FINAL ANALYSIS: The latest DOCTOR WHO classic blu-ray season set is another great set with tons of great new and old extras. It is also one of the best seasons of the DOCTOR WHO series and any fan should own this set.
