THE NICE GUYS is an entertaining and funny 1970s private eye style noir from director Shane Black.   Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling make a great team on the screen.   Kim Bassinger and Russell Crowe have their first on-screen reunion since L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.  THE NICE GUYS is also a love letter to 1977 culture and times.   It is a modern neo-noir while being a throwback to a different time from the clothes to the music to a time when kids actually hung out in person instead of being separated by the internet.  Matt Bomer is fantastic as Mafia hitman John Boy.  I hope Warner bros Pictures asks Shane Black to make a sequel to THE NICE GUYS because I would love to see Healy and March solving another case together just like James Rockford would solve a case every week on TV.

FINAL ANALYSIS: THE NICE GUYS is a fun neo noir with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling making a great onscreen duo and I want a sequel with their two characters.
