Picking up months after the end of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is ready to take a summer vacation with his fellow science students to Europe. He wants a vacation, but Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson wants his help to battle Elementals that Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) have been fighting for a while. However, Peter is more concerned with getting MJ (Zendaya) as his girlfriend and forgetting the hero stuff for a while. Then he is also dealing with the loss of his mentor Tony Stark and the complication of Happy (Jon Favreau) and his aunt May (Marisa Tomei) getting together too well.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is a welcome sequel to SPIDER-MAN; HOMECOMING while tying in various threads from the IRON MAN and AVENGERS movies. The first of two end credit scenes comes as a surprise as it features a surprise cameo and sets things up for the third movie. It is a fun movie that also touches upon the role of teenagers wanting to have fun while Peter trying to grow up to responsibility. And there are some cuts scenes (for pacing) in the trailer which will appear in a short film on the blu-ray release. Tom Holland is great as Spider-Man even though I think Spider-Man had less comedic quips this time. Jake Gyllenhaal is great as Mysterio (and to think he could have replaced Tobey McGuire for Spider-Man 2 over 15 years ago).

I do hope the next SPIDER-MAN movie is out within two years since I don't want Sony and Marvel to leave us hanging too long with the mid-credits cliffhanger. I do want to see Spider-Man doing more of his friendly neighborhood webslinger stuff and facing other iconic comic’s villains from the Spider-Man rogue's gallery.

SPECIAL FETAURES:
PETER’S TO-DO LIST is a short film consisting of a deleted sequence from the movie (which I don't see why they cut it from the movie in the first place). Also on the blu-ray are a few deleted scenes cut for pacing reasons and a cast blooper reel

STEPPING UP- a recap of the Spider-Man story so far in the MCU movies and a focus on Spider-Man having to step up in the aftermath of AVENGERS: ENDGAME

FINAL ANALYSIS: SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is a great sequel to SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, but I do wish the scenes in the short film stayed in the movie.
