DEADPOOL 2 is an enjoyable sequel with less of a plot than the original DEADPOOL as it is more focused on nailing the humor than give the fans an actual great plot to follow. Cable (Josh Brolin) comes back from the future to kill an overweight mutant named Russell who will kill Cable's family in the future. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) believes it is his mission to save Russell from Cable. He forms a haphazard team known as X-Force where their first mission doesn't go as planned.

DEADPOOL 2 makes fun of the characters while proving an off-the-wall anti-hero who constantly breaks the fourth wall. Josh Brolin is a great foil for Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool while Zazie Beetz is OK as Domino (but she doesn't match up to the comic's version of Domino which is a far cooler character than what DEADPOOL 2 showed). I liked how the movie made fun of some of the more absurd X-Force characters, but we don't get to know most of them that well as the sequel tries to cram in so many different things without nailing down a concrete plot (but that may be the point of the sequel). David Leitch provides excellent action direction, but the movie is just fun while being a disappointing follow-up.

DEADPOOL 2 is going to be another successful film in the series which somewhat sets the stage for an X-FORCE movie while a DEADPOOL 3 movie is also in development (but the real question if it will be made due to the Fox/ Disney merger deal being worked on). It pokes enough fun at LOGAN, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, and even the X-MEN franchise along with some jabs at Ryan Reynolds and Donald Trump (and the James Bond title sequences). I would love to see another DEADPOOL movie, but I hope it is better than DEADPOOL 2 and not a case of diminishing returns.

This two-disc blu-ray set contains the super Duper Cut which is 15 minutes longer than the theatrical version (with new jokes and action) on DISC ONE and the theatrical cut and all the extras on DISC TWO.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
The gag reel is funny as usual and the deleted and extended scenes amounts to two cut scenes (including a slightly extended end credits scene cut from the theatrical cut but restored for the Super Duper cut)

FINAL ANALYSIS: DEADPOOL 2 improves on a repeat viewing and it is interesting to seeing alternate stuff and extra bits in the extended (Super Duper) cut. The extras are enjoyable and offer a behind-the-scenes look of the sequel.
