A group of 10 young men and women wake up in a dark claustrophobic maze in the year 2154.  They must decipher the codes and survive the deadly maze as Adam (Alec Baldwin) controls the maze’s walls and sends security guards to guide the group when they get off the grid.   People watch the game known as the Quest where only one will survive where the survivor will get freedom along with three others.  The losers will die along with the people they want free.

 

ANDRON is an Italian produced sci-fi action movie rip-off of THE MAZE RUNNER meets THE HUNGE RGAMES meets THE MATRIX.  It is a poorly directed and written movie that the CGI backgrounds and the actors can’t save this muddled mess. Alec Baldwin’s inclusion as a game master gives up the game too soon and robs the early part of the plot of its mystery. I hope the sequel doesn’t get made.  Go watch THE HUNGER GAMES or THE MAZE RUNNER again instead.

FINAL ANALYSIS: Run far away from this MAZE RUNNER/ HUNGE RGAMES rip-off and don’t buy or rent ANDRON.  It isn’t worth your money and neither is the sequel the ending sets itself up for.
