Molly Bloom (Jessica Chastain) is a Olympic hopeful skier whose chances at the Olympics is scrubbed by chance and she ends up running the world's most exclusive poker game for a decade before it all came down. She becomes a Cinemax version (classy sexy version) of herself to control and run the game. Her players included Hollywood royalty, some of the richest people in the world, and Russian gangsters. The FBI arrests her as a way to leverage to give evidence against the Russian Mafia who are also indicted by the FBI. She hires a lawyer (Idris Elba) to protect her name as she tries to protect what she stands for even when everyone wants her to give evidence.

This true story drama, MOLLY'S GAME, is a tale of integrity and struggling to find oneself in a world where men try to be all powerful as they play high stakes poker games. It is an entertaining movie written and directed by Aaron Sorkin. The cast is fantastic as the story has its up and downs as the movie is told in flashbacks as she tells her story. I wish this drama wasn't snubbed by the Oscars though.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
BUILDING AN EMPIRE is three minute promotional featurette that has interviews with Aaron Sorkin, Jessica Chastain, and the real Molly Bloom.

Playing before the menus are previews for other releases from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment

FINAL ANALYSIS: MOLLY GAME'S is an entertaining true story with a great cast. Aaron Sorkin has written and directed one of the best movies of last year. I do wish there were more extras than a quick promotional fluff featurette.
