Abe Dale (Nathan Fillon) gets the ability to see which people will die soon after he has a Near Death Experience resulting from his grief over the murder of his wife and son by a crazy man named Caine. Abe saves a few lives including a nurse (Katee Sackhoff). Soon he learns his actions have consequences and that Caine has a surprising connection to all of it.

ANALYSIS: WHITE NOISE 2 has some interesting ideas (a person being a detuned receiver for ghosts and Tria Mera) with two good leads (Nathan Fillon and Katee Sackhoff). The Direct-to-DVD sequel might have been better off if it didn't have WHITE NOISE in the title and used a less is more approach. What ruined part of this sequel for me was the showy climax. WHITE NOISE 2 sometime made me feel like I was watching one of the Sci-Fi Channel's Saturday movie offerings (and I don't mean that in a good way). Fans of FIREFLY will get a thrill out of the Captain Tight Pants remark and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA fans will find it strange to see Katee Sackhoff attack someone with a purse in another scene.

33 minutes of deleted scenes feature tons of material that was cut out and some scenes that might have made WHITE NOISE 2 better if left in.

Three featurettes are on the disc:
EXPLORING THE NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE- stories from sveral people who had Near Death Experiences (or NDEs).
THE MAKING OF WHITE NOISE 2- a promotional featurette with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with cast and crew. Also Fillon and Sackhoff bring up who would win in a fight between Captain Mal Reynolds and Starbuck.
JOURNEY INTO MADNESS- Nathon Fillon and a paranormal expert (also the location Production Assistant for the film) give a tour of a mental asylum which was used for filming several scenes in WHITE NOISE 2.

FINAL ANALYSIS: WHITE NOISE 2 has some interesting concepts and two good leads, but the direction leaves me with mixed feelings. Proceed with caution.
