Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his unit are soldiers who work for the CIA.  Their mission in Bolivia goes wrong when the one who ordered the mission (the mysterious Max (Jason Patric)) decides to destroy a drug compound with kids there.  Clay and his team rescue the kids only to have Max decide to kill the team (and the kids end up being killed instead).   Clay and his team (Pooch, Roque, Cougar, and Jensen) are believed to be dead by Max, but they get their chance to take Max out when a mysterious woman named Aisha (Zoe Saldana).   Max wants to sell some sonic destruction weapons called Snooks to terrorists and it is up to Clay's team to stop Max (and get revenge on Max).

THE LOSERS is the second entertaining comic book film in two weeks  (KICK-ASS being the first).   It is a mix of action and humor with quick banter and some quick cut action.   Chris Evans steals the show as ladies man Jensen while Jason Patric runs close second with his quirky over-the-top performance of Max.   Some of the action is too quick-cut while the humor keeps things moving and make you love the characters.   I wouln't mind seeing a seuqel and the film has me curious to check out THE LOSERS comic series (which this film is loosely based on the first six issues).   Stay arround for the credits for an extra scene.   THE LOSERS will entertain anyone who looks for an action cocktail mixed with humor and a high mix of bodies and explosions.
