THE FIRST PURGE is a prequel to the first three PURGE movies and THE PURGE TV series. It chronicles the beginnings of THE PURGE as the New Founds Fathers of America use Staten Island as an experiment to test out this social experiment which is just a veil to cover up class warfare as the one percent look to thin the poor lower classes. The movie follows the residents during the Purge live experiment and you see how the NFFA is studying it (and rigging the game). THE FIRST PURGE brings front and center the purpose of the Purge by using class warfare as the NFFA wages a war to get rid of some of the poor.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
The deleted scene reveals an alternate fate for one of the characters in the movie.

A RADICAL EXPERIMENT- a promotion featurette that has interviews with cast and crew and clips from the movie

BRINGING THE CHAOS is a brief mini-featurette on the action and stunts where THE MASKS OF THE FIRST PURGE is the second mini-featurette.

FINAL ANALYSIS: THE FIRST PURGE works as a good prequel which reveals the origins of THE PURGE. I do wish there were more extra and an audio commentary for the movie. If you want more space for Purge Night to breathe, check out the 10 episode TV series now airing on the USA Network and SyFy.
