The fourth and final season of THE 4400 pushed the series forward into new directions while leaving the viewers hanging at the end as they wonder what would have come next if USA had brought the series back for a fifth season.  THE MARKED, NO EXIT, and the series finale are the high points of the season.  The change in Jordan Collier is startling and yet frightening.  He wants tio advance the cause of The 4400 and people having the choice to have abilities (half fo the people who take the shot die).  We finally learn why NTAC Agent Diana Skouris never developed 4400 abilities.  Isabelle gets her powers back only to have make some choices which will change the future in one direction or the other.  Too bad NTAC Agent Tom Baldwin loses Alana- the love of his life (who ends up in the past)- and I wonder if he will take the shot.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Series creator and Executive Producer/director Scott Petter has recorded audio commentaries for TILL WE HAVE BUILT JERUSALEM and the director's cut of THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD.

Two featurettes on the fourth disc take a look at the making of season 4 (while giving hints on season 5) and a disucssion about Jordan Collier (and his agenda).   The blooper reel is entertaing including a few bleeped out swear words in addition to line flubs.  Deleted scenes are included for almost ever episode except for ONE OF US, TILL WE HAVE BUILT JERUSALEM, and .  The director's cut of THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD includeds deleted material (and teh broadcast version of the episode is also included).

FINAL ANALYSIS:   THE 4400 had great potentional as a series with it's ideas and character relationships.  The ending is premature and wonders where the series would have gone next.  The set includes a nice waelth of extras to be enjoyed by fans.
