Marty (Colin Farrell) is an alcoholic screenwriter with writer's block trying to write his latest screenplay called Seven Psychopaths.   His dog kidnapping friend (Sam Rockwell) tries to spur ideas for Marty's screenplay by telling stories about psychopaths and inviting psychopaths to stop by with their stories.  Soon, Marty's friend steals the wrong dog and the dog's owner is a psychopath gangster (Woody Harrelson).  Marty, his friend, and another dog kidnapper (played with much charm by Christopher Walken who probably could just read the phone book and still entertain) are on the run with the kidnapped dog out into the desert.   SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS is a charming and entertaining black comedy with some good locations.  It manages to be dark and yet so funny especially the bit about the Vietnamese Priest psychopath.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
There are four promotional featurettes with CRAZY LOCATIONS offering a little more info than the rest as it tells of the unique locations tehy hunted for and shooting on land adjacent to Joshua Tree Park since they couldn't blow up a car and fire guns in the actual park.   All featurettes have interviews with cast and crew.

The actual theatrical trailer issn't included on the disc, but previews for other releases form Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are included.

FINAL ANALYSIS:  SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS is a delicously entertaining black comedy with everyone giving great performances.   Too bad they didn't have more extras on the actual making of the film, the actual theatrical trailer, or an audio commentary.
