Jimmy Conlon (Liam Nesson), once know as the mob enforcer called The Gravedigger, has seen better days and he is haunted by the sins of his past that he did in the service of his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris).  When Jimmy kills someone to save the live of his estranged son Michael (Joel Kinnaman), Jimmy finds that he and his son have become Shawn’s targets and they must run to keep ahead of the people sent to kill them and the police detective (Vincent D’Onofrio) who has been trying to nail Jimmy for all the murders he committed.

RUN ALL NIGHT is a great combo of great action pacing and a great cast.  The only fault with it is the way they tell the story and how the plot is constructed.  It moves along like you are running all night with the absent father and his estranged son as Ed Harris does things out of grief (even though Jimmy was right in protecting Michael).

SPECIAL FEATURES:

SHOOT ALL NIGHT- promotional making-of featurette that goes behind-the-scenes

LIAM NESSON: ACTION ALL NIGHT- Liam talks about action movies and working with his stunt double in addition seeing director Jaume Collet-Serra like a brother.

Also included on the disc are four deleted scenes and two extended scenes.

FINAL ANALYSIS:  RUN ALL NIGHT is a fast paced thriller with a great cast and well shot action even though I could have done without the flashback structure and the digital New York City maps to show where everything is happening
