The only thing that stands out about OUTLAW BROTHERS are the action scenes because the humor is so-so.   The movie follows the exploits of two car thieves that go by the name of James and Bond as they cross paths with a female police detective and a female drug lord.   The movie over and over shows action mixed with comedy before switching to comedy and repeat.  Throw in a dash of foreshadowing and you got a few predictable elements that will play out later in the movie.

OUTLAW BROTHERS gets dragged down by various subplots in the middle act as the female cop gets involved with getting one of the thieves hitched and the abusive husband of the a woman who is like an adopted sister to one of the thieves.    Dragon Dynasty has released this movie to US audiences, but it does almost feel like the Weinstein Company is scraping the bottom of the barrel compared to some of the fine Chinese movies they have released through the Dragon Dynasty label.  The DVD is barebones with no extras and you can skip this movie and rent it if you can find it in the video store.
