Billy (Michael Douglas), a sworn bachelor, decides to get married to his 30 something girlfriend at the spur of the moment.  He invites his old friends Archie (Morgan Freeman, Sam (Kevin Kline), and Paddy (Robert DeNiro) for one last party- a bachelor party in Las Vegas.  The Flatbush Four have reunited to go over what is wrong between them and what’s wrong in their life as they make decisions and have fun in this old age comedy LAST VEGAS.

The four lead actors have never acted together until now in this ensemble comedy that takes place in Las Vegas, but it was shot on location in Vegas and Atlanta (Georgia).  The supporting cast is even delightful in one of the most fun movies I have seen this year so far.  I hope some of the leads get to work with each other again because they really gel in this movie due to all of their acting talents.  You believe they could be old friends who bicker with each other.  Then you have Mary Steenburgen as a lounge signer who Billy and Paddy fall for when they see her which raises old memories of a the girl that Billy and Paddy were in love with (but Paddy married).  Las Vegas is also a character along with all of the colorful characters they include in it in a movie where it proves you can never be too old to have fun in Las Vegas.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

The audio commentary with Director Jon Turtletaub and writer Dan Fogelman give little behind-the-scenes stories about the cast and locations that are more insightful than the promotional fluff featurettes on the disc.  They also talk about some deleted scenes that involve a Madonna impersonator who has a heart attack at the party and there is a funeral.  Oddly, none of the deleted scenes they talk about are included on the disc (which I would have loved to seen these cut scenes).

IT’S GOING TO BE LEGENDARY- quick promo fluff about the four leads and their characters

FOUR LEGENDS- it is all about having four great actors in one film

SHOTING IN SIN CITY- quick featurette on shooting on location in Las Vegas

THE FLATBUSH FOUR- quick featurette about the four main characters

THE REDFOO PARTY- focus on the Refoo party with the bikini contest that featured Playboy Playmates as the contestants

SUPPORTING ENSEMBLE- quick interviews and talk about the supporting cast

Previews on the disc include BLUE JASMINE, COLD COMES THE NIGHT, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS, and BAD COUNTRY.

FINAL ANALYSIS: LAST VEGAS is a funny and charming comedy that proves you can fun in Vegas at any age.  Too bad they didn’t include the deleted scenes mentioned in the audio commentary which is the best extra on the disc.
